Character Name: Alexander Aaron, aka Phobos, the (Demi) God of Fear
Character Journal:  call_me_phobos
Physical description (face, build, weight): Alexander has dark hair and pale blue eyes. He stands 6’2” and is always clean-shaven and stylishly dressed. Slim and muscular
Age: 26
DOB: 1986
PB: (If using one.) Ian Somerhalder

Character location/Home: New York
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Independent
Relatives (living/dead?): Ares (Father, living), Natasha Davis(deceased), Roxanne Danvers (paternal half-sister, living), most of the Olympian Pantheon

Abilities: Alexander is a demigod.  As such, he possesses the following abilities:

Superhuman Strength/Endurance/Durability: Alexander can lift up to 40 tons. He can exert himself for one hour before fatigue sets in, but recovers quickly after resting. He is difficult to damage with conventional weapons; bullets are not an issue for him and normal swords and knives also pose little trouble.  Alexander is immune to all terrestrial diseases and only requires an hour of sleep each night to operate at maximum capacity. He is also immune to many temperature extremes. When injured, Alexander heals twice as fast as a normal human being.

Fighting Ability:  As a son of the God of War, Ares, Alex is a skilled combatant capable of engaging three people in moderate combat. He is a skilled swordsman and can use swords, knives and axes with moderate ability. He is in possession of the sword Grasscutter, which is enchanged and can cut through several substances.

(Demi) God of Fear: Alexander is the Demigod of Fear. He has the empathic ability to sense individuals’ worst fears. He can also instill fear in an individual or manifest their current fears if he chooses.

Limited Precognition: Alexander sometimes receives glimpses of the future. He cannot control this ability and rarely sees anything helpful. This is mostly a plot device to fuel story.

Limited Teleportation:  Alexander may teleport himself anywhere on Earth with a thought and he may take one person with him at maximum. He may also teleport to Olympus but only at certain times during the year.
Alexander speaks English, Spanish and Greek fluently, as well as the language of the gods.  He is an excellent sketch artist. He loves well and has a thing for name-brand clothing. He also has a stash of Olympian gold granted to him by his Grandmother, Hera, for use during his exile.

Ageless: Alexander has been stripped of his immortality but he is ageless and functionally immortal.

Weaknesses and flaws: Alexander is very overprotective of Roxie and usually does things that he thinks will “help” her, only to find out that most people don’t take kindly to his help. He also tends to think of himself as “above” most humans. His mother was one of the few humans he respected. Carol Danvers is another. The rest of humanity alternately appalls or amuses him, depending on the day.

Alexander has trouble relating to humanity since his mother’s death and finds himself feeling less human each day. He misses his mother but will never admit it.

Alex’s ability to instill fear does not work on those who truly have no fears. Few beings have exhibited this ability, such as Nick Fury and Gorgon of the Inhumans.

Magical weapons cause greater damage to Alex due to his half-divine nature as well as fighting with mystical beings and some mutants. Hydra blood is particularly effective against Gods and would severely injure or even kill him.

Personality: Alexander is loyal to his family and those he calls friends but has odd ways of showing it. He comes across as irreverent and condescending at times a side effect of how out-of-touch he feels with humanity. He has never been fully human and he is the son of the God of War, making him feel out of place among humans and gods.

He is deeply interested in the fears of those around him and often wonders what makes people tick. He readily admits to being confused by human motivations in several areas.

Backstory: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phobos_%28Marvel_Comics%29 – Alexander is technically a canon character, but there’s so little about him out there beyond this Wiki link.

Alexander is the son of Ares and a human woman. He grew up at odds with his father until the time he turned ten years old and learned of his power as a demigod. At ten, he was brought to Olympus and learned of his heritage among the gods, finishing his education and coming to maturity. Alexander loved Olympus so much that he rarely visited his mother. She passed away shortly after his 20th birthday and Alexander did not arrive in time say goodbye. After this he withdrew from Earth and threw himself into being a demigod, eventually earning full godhood just two years ago.

Upon becoming a full god, however, Alexander became arrogant and boastful, provoking the gods of other pantheons. After a particularly nasty prank, he was called before Zeus to answer for his transgressions. The proud young god refused to repent his actions and Zeus saw that his grandson was on the path to becoming like his father, Ares. Zeus returned Phobos to his demi-god status and urged him to reconsider his path before exiling him to Earth for the foreseeable future.

Alex feels that his punishment is unjust but needs something to do in the meantime until Zeus changes his mind (which he will). He’s asked his sister Roxanne to be the face of his new fashion label so that he can admittedly make a lot of money and pass the time.
