"I know a place," Roxie said, waving her hand. "No questions asked, and generally, you get a little more than it's actually worth."
She paled a little bit at the mention of Vincent. Roxie hadn't really thought to fill Alex on everything that had gone on with her lately - from the Kreenapping to breaking up with Vincent to, well, Joe. Whatever was going on there.
"I missed you too," she finally said. "More than you know." She'd dealt somewhat okay with everything that had happened, but she hadn't really been sure how to break any of the bad news to her older brother.
He was, after all, her older brother. They tended to be overprotective.
"Vince and I broke up," she added after a moment. "A couple of months ago. Hence, the new digs," she said. "I let him keep my old apartment, since it was unfair to expect him and his little sister to move out after it had been their home, too." More that she wasn't saying? Oh, yes.
